Personalized Treatment Planning for Lasting Results
No two people are the same, so no two treatment plans should be. We build a clear, step-by-step plan around your diagnosis, goals, preferences and life.

What is personalized treatment planning?
Personalized treatment planning is a collaborative process where you and your psychiatric provider design a roadmap for your mental health care. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, your plan reflects your specific diagnosis, symptoms, health history, values, schedule and goals.
A plan may combine several elements: medication, therapy referrals, lifestyle and sleep strategies, preventive wellness check-ins, and coordination with your primary care provider or therapist. It sets clear, measurable goals, so you and your provider can see what’s working and adjust what isn’t.
Your plan is a living document. As you progress, it changes with you.
Who is personalized treatment planning for?
Every patient at Therapete Psychiatry receives a personalized plan, and it is especially valuable if your situation is complex.

You want to weigh medication against other options thoughtfully.

When should you create or update a treatment plan?
A plan is created after your first evaluation and reviewed regularly, and anytime your needs change.
- After your initial psychiatric evaluation
- When symptoms change, return or worsen
- After a major life event, such as a new job, move, pregnancy or loss
- When side effects or results call for a new approach
- When your personal goals change
- At regular check-ins to review progress

- Goals that reflect what matters most to you
- Treatment matched to your diagnosis and history
- Clear milestones to measure progress
- Flexibility to adjust as you improve
- A shared plan you can follow with confidence

Personalized Treatment Planning: frequently asked questions
What is included in a personalized treatment plan?
Your plan may include a diagnosis summary, treatment goals, medication recommendations, therapy or specialist referrals, lifestyle strategies and a follow-up schedule.
Is there an extra cost for a treatment plan?
No. Treatment planning is part of your psychiatric evaluation and follow-up visits. Self-pay rates are $150 for an initial evaluation and $100 for follow-ups.
How often is my treatment plan reviewed?
Your plan is reviewed at follow-up visits and updated whenever your symptoms, goals or circumstances change.
Do I have a say in my treatment plan?
Absolutely. Treatment planning is collaborative. Your preferences, values and concerns shape every decision.
Does every plan include medication?
No. Medication is recommended only when it is likely to help and you agree. Many plans combine medication with other approaches, and some don’t include medication at all.
Can my plan include therapy?
Yes. If therapy would help, we can recommend the right type and coordinate referrals to licensed therapists.
Can you coordinate with my other doctors?
Yes. With your permission, we can communicate with your primary care provider, therapist or other specialists.
What if my plan isn’t working?
Let us know. We will review what is and isn’t helping and adjust medications, goals or strategies.
Can I create a treatment plan through telehealth?
Yes. Evaluations and plan reviews can be completed by secure video.
